William Falkenthal

Bill (Sonny) passed away at home on April 15, 2022 at the age of 89.

Born January 30, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY Sonny moved to Albuquerque in 1971.  He was a successful businessman who owned Southwest Carpet Co. for over 20 years.  Sonny retired at age 60.  He loved Mexico and spent the winter months in Kino Bay every year until 2019.  Sonny loved to travel and visited four continents and too many countries to mention.  Sonny's hobbies were fishing, hunting and golf.  He also crafted elaborate NYC landmarks using wine corks collected from around the world.  The Twin Towers, Brooklyn Bridge and Empire State Building were just a few.

Sonny was preceded in death by parents, Ruth and William Falkenthal; and his beloved brother, Robert.  He leaves behind the love of his life, wife of 58 years, Eleanor; sons, William, Patrick, Michael; daughter, Linda Kelly; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in June.  Details will be announced at a later date.
