After the war, he was assigned to Guided Missile R&D in Pasadena, CA, and White Sands Proving Ground, NM. Bill worked on the development and firing of the Corporal Missile. Later he worked for NATO in Northern Italy and the Yugoslavia border training NATO soldiers. His next assignment was Okinawa supporting the Vietnam War under SEATO. After he retired from the Army, he worked in Waco, TX and Albuquerque NM for the Veteran's Administration's adjudication office. Bill was an avid fly-fisherman and hunter. He and that dumb old bird dog "Luke" hunted birds throughout this state that he loved so much. He had an amazing intellect and memory. He humbly considered himself a "storehouse of useless information," but his family knew he was a genius. He will be remembered for his charm and quick wit and will be missed forever.
