William Patrick Crane

William “Bill” P. Crane, Jr., age 74, beloved husband and father, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2019.  Bill was born on November 16, 1945 in Madison, WI to William Crane and Virginia (Crane) Payne.  Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1974.  He married Marilyn J. Zimmerman of Lake Mills, WI on October 22, 1983.  Bill, Marilyn and his sons moved to California in 1984.  Bill was a sales and marketing representative for several money and remittance processing companies and retired in 2007.  Upon Marilyn's retirement in 2017, they moved to Albuquerque, NM.  He enjoyed golfing with his wife, reading historical biographies and novels, and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Daniel E. and Michael P. (Rikki Kiefer) of California; brother, Robert Crane of Fort Atkinson, WI; sister, Sharon (Avery) Nofsinger of Columbus, WI; uncle, Gerald Ring of Madison, WI; sisters-in-law, Susan (David) Kuhl and Sandy Zimmerman of Jefferson, WI and Nancy Moretti of Lake Mills, WI; nephews, nieces, other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, and father-in-law, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and other relatives. A private Memorial Service was held at the FRENCH - Westside in Albuquerque, NM. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson, WI.
