William Chase Burlingame

William “Bill” Burlingame passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the age of 96.  A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Irolla) Burlingame.  He is survived by his four sons, Mark Burlingame, wife Lynn, Jeff Burlingame, John Burlingame, wife Robin and Robert Burlingame, wife Lisa.  He had 7 grandchildren, Elyse Jojola, Andrew Burlingame, Melissa Burlingame, Eric Burlingame, Candace Burlingame, Cayla Burlingame, and Stacy Doyle.  Bill was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren, Ashley Doyle, Emma Doyle, Katelin Doyle, Caden Doyle, Jade Jojola, Olivia Jojola and Scarlett Yardman.

Bill enjoyed a long career as an aviation technician with Trans World Airlines (TWA).  Through that career he made life-long friendships which he talked about often.  He and Barbara (and the kids) enjoyed traveling to many faraway places.  Bill loved his family and enjoyed watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Other than being with family, Bill’s favorite pass times included, fishing, camping, and traveling.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Mark and Lynn Burlingame on Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 PM.  Address:  232 Dogwood Trail SE, Rio Rancho NM 87124.

The burial will be held at the National cemetery in Santa Fe on Monday, September 13th at 2:15 PM.  Everyone is welcome.
