William (Bill) Patrick Landgraf, age 50, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, transitioned to his next adventure on June 16, 2024. Born on July 7, 1973, in Des Moines, IA, Bill was the source of tremendous joy for his parents, Gerald (Jerry) and Barbara Landgraf.
Bill was a kind soul with a knack for finding people with "broken wings." He was always ready to lend a helping hand and his signature smile, never expecting anything in return.
Branded a firecracker by his mother at birth, Bill always marched to the beat of his own drum. He spoke his mind with sincerity and a special wit that made others gravitate to him. He loved live music, spontaneous travel and remained devoted to his family throughout his life.
After graduating from St. Pius X High School in 1991, Bill earned a B.S. in Information Technology and spent nearly 25 years in healthcare administration where his social nature and flair for problem-solving (with maybe a bit of BS-ing) allowed him to thrive.
Bill is survived by his ever-supportive and cautiously optimistic parents, Jerry and Barb; his three amazing siblings who somehow put up with his antics, Donna Jones, Laura (Ben) Steinberg, and Aaron (Erin) Landgraf; his loving partner-in-crime, Pamela Geisler and his loyal dog, Sergio.
Bill also leaves behind 5 nephews, 2 nieces, one great niece and a sprawling extended family of over 100 aunts, uncles, cousins and others he made feel like family – whether he knew you for minutes or years. He was preceded in death by his legendary dog and best bud, Scooby, who undoubtedly greeted him on the other side with a wagging tail, slobbery kisses and a bark that said, "What took you so long?"
Join us as we celebrate Bill’s life through a series of events. A funeral mass will be held on July 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church (2621 Vermont St. NE) in Albuquerque. Following the mass, everyone is invited to a reception at American Legion Post 13 (1201 Mountain Rd. NE 87102) at 12 PM. Let’s come together to share stories, laughs, and maybe even some embarrassing photos. Please come as you are, and feel free to wear something that reminds you of a joyful moment shared with Bill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring his memory with donations to Animal Humane Society of New Mexico. Bill loved animals as deeply as he loved his family, and your contributions will continue his legacy of caring for our furry friends.
