Wilfred F. "Bill" Russell

Age 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully surround by his family, Wednesday, November 13, 2013. He is survived by wife of 57 years, Betty J. Russell; daughter, Deborah J. Smith and Cesar Traconis of California City, CA, daughter, Donna G. Russell of Clovis, NM; son, Glen W. Russell of Farmington, NM.; grandchildren, Whitney Eklund and husband, Mark, Alix Russell, and Kody Russell; great grandchildren, Ava and Brynn Eklund; his brother in law, Robert P. Shockley and wife, JoAnn and many other family. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his son, Gary A. Russell; his parents, Francis and Alice Russell; his mother in law, Mary Shockley; his sister, Theresa Riel and his brother, Francis Russell Jr. He served our country with distinction in the United States Navy as an Aviation CPO, retiring after 22 years. Bill was a member of the Catholic Church. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 21, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Terrace NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
