Wilfred Hern

Wilfred Hern 76, beloved Spouse, Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Son, and Brother was called to his eternal resting place on August 10, 2024. He entered this world on February 25, 1948, in Anton Chico, NM. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Clarabelle Hern; son, Wilfred Hern Jr.; daughter-in-law, Carmen Hern; daughter, Cynthia Jojola; son-in-law, Richard Jojola; grandchildren, Caitlyn Hern, Carys Hern, Dominick Jojola, Cayla Jojola, Richard Jojola, and Mason Hern; brothers, Robert James (decd. Suchiva) Hern, Antonio

Hern, Abelino Hern, and Ernest (Mary) Lingnau; sisters, Eloisa (decd.Hector) Bustillos, Joann (decd.Lloyd) Seiber, Geraldine (decd. Victor) Ruiz, Estefanita (John) Gonzales, and Erma (decd. Ramon) Madrid. Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, Beatriz and Robert Hern; stepmother, Rita Hern; sister, Juanita Hern; and brothers, William Hern, Ben Roy Hern, and Charlie Lingnau.

Wilfred served in the US Army from 1967 - 1969 during the Vietnam war.

A prayer service will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024, 4:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. The family will receive guests following the Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 26, 2024, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. The Rite of Committal will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe Nation Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501. Join the Family for a meal after the burial service, at 4:00 p.m., at the American Legion Post 13, 1201 Legion Rd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87102 (Please feel free to attend regardless of attending the burial ceremony in Santa Fe).
