Wilbur Dameron

Col. Wilbur Dameron (USMC) Ret., beloved father and husband, was called to his eternal resting place on May 21, 2016. He entered this world on January 23, 1925 in Cambridge, MA, born to Wilbur and Mary Dameron. Wilbur prepared at Dover Delaware High School and graduated from Cornell BCE '48m JD '49. He enjoyed participating in high school and college sports including basketball, football and crew. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Nancy Corbett Dameron; sons, Richard O. Dameron and wife, Erica and Guy D. Dameron and partner, Leroy Lucero; grandchildren, Victor and Maria Dameron; and numerous other relatives and friends. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Oster and Wilbur Robbins Dameron Sr. and sister, Maryo Dameron. He served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict and retired from the Reserves 1985 as a Colonel. He worked for Sandia Labs for 26 years. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
