Wesley Stuart Mason, Jr.

Wesley Stuart Mason, Jr. was born Monday, March 17, 1947 to Irma Marmon and Wesley Stuart Mason Sr. in Albuquerque, NM and was raised there and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1965. Upon graduation, he attended and graduated from Haskell Institute (located in Lawrence, Kansas), with a degree in Business and began his career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) thereafter. Wesley had a brief stint in the Army, serving from 1968 to 1974 as a clerk after he was drafted for service in support of the Vietnam war.

He moved back to Albuquerque and spent his remaining years there. He was a very talented individual and played many instruments including the piano, the violin, and the guitar. He enjoyed acting and designing all of the costumes for all the plays he would perform in.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Stuart Mason, Sr.; his mother, Irma Mason; and his sister, Bobbi Mason. He is survived by his sister, Alice Salinas of North Dakota; and his nieces, Julie Johnson and Irma Heredia of California.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8130 Sage Road SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
