Warren Everette Perkins passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He is survived by his son-in-law, Bruce E. Miller and wife, Lynda; and two grandchildren, Caleb B. Miller and Rebecca E. McIntyre and husband Trevor, all of Canada. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie, and daughter, Sue Ellen Miller. Mr. Perkins was an electronics engineer. He retired from National Cash Register Co. in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Albuquerque in 1975. He was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York, and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII and during the Korean Conflict. He retired with the rank of Major. Warren was a ham radio operator for 75 years, a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association and of the Albuquerque Radio Club. In accordance with Mr. Perkins' wishes, there will be no special services. He would request donations or memorials be made to the charity or institution of one's choice. Following cremation, interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
