Wanda L. Weaver

Wanda L. Weaver, 74, our beloved wife and mother, passed away on July 30, 2016. She was born on March 19, 1942 in Carlinville, IL, as the fourth child of Phillip and Minnie Bloome. She graduated from Illinois State University as a teacher of the deaf after which she taught in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She was an avid traveler (all 50 states and 30 foreign countries), reader, gardener, and volunteer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale; her son, Paul (Karen) of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter, Leslie (James) Park of Highlands Ranch, CO; five grandchildren, Courtney, Amanda, Jacob, and Nathaniel Weaver and Madeline Park; a brother-in-law, Kurt Berg and a sister-in-law, Margaret Bloome, both living in Illinois; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends throughout the country. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years and was loved and respected by many. A private celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Wanda's name to The Diabetes Foundation.
