Wanda Garrison

Wanda Ray Garrison was born in 1928 and very peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Wanda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Garrison; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.

She was in banking and financial institutions for 43 years. She was head bookkeeper at Ranchers State Bank in Belen when she and Joseph married. She loved the Lord and loved the church, she never missed attending church. She had a wonderful voice and worshipped the Lord by singing at numerous church events. She was a wonderful cook and everyone loved her food, especially her posole. She always had a smile on her face and never mentioned the pain she was in.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 23, 10:00 a.m. at First Bilingual Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Solano Cemetery, Solano, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Bilingual Baptist Church benevolence fund.
