Walter Clay Wagy

Clay Wagy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born on Wednesday, July 8, 1970, in Albuquerque, NM to Paul and Loretta (Wagner) Wagy. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and his mother-in-law, Maureen Richards. Clay is survived by his wife Nicole; twin sons, Evan and Landon; three brothers, Dale (Katherine) Wagy, Lyle (Desiree) Wagy, and Todd Wagy; father-in-law, Paul (Vicki) Levasseur; brothers-in-law, Ryan (Jeff Garber) Levasseur, and Adam Richards; sister-in-law Darcie (Harrison) Williams; nephews Brandon Wagy, Travis Whitaker, Preston Wagy, Chance Wagy, Trey Wagy, Sean Wagy, and Harrison Williams IV; and nieces Kassi Wagy, Danielle Wagy, Tahlia Williams, Claire Garber, and Sophie Garber.

Clay graduated from Highland High School in 1988 and subsequently began a career as an autobody technician working for many years alongside his brother Lyle. In 2006 Clay married Nicole and in 2011 they welcomed their twin sons. Clay had an unshakeable faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and made it his mission to boldly share Christ's gospel with all those he encountered. He was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church West Albuquerque. Clay enjoyed spending time camping with his wife and boys, working out at the gym, hiking, and ministering to friends and family. He was a loving husband, brother, friend, and an amazing father to his boys who were the light of his life. Clay's Christian faith was an essential part of his life, and his fervent hope was that each person he shared the gospel with would come to place a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church West Albuquerque, 6400 Golf Course Rd NW. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to First Baptist Church West Albuquerque.
