Walter Glen (Tommy)Thompson a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on February 21, 1933, in Cleburne, Texas.

He lived his early years in Cleburne until the Army sent him to Fairbanks, Alaska. While in Alaska he met and married Carolyn, his wife of 57 years. After the Army he attended Abilene Christian College (not yet University) for few semesters then moved to New Mexico where he would spend most of his life.

He was a member of the Netherwood Church of Christ, retired Electrician, he was a preacher and Bible teacher and Korean War veteran. He enjoyed leather work, playing pool, traveling and "eating out." He always had a cat or a dog and especially loved his dachshund, Limo.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Thompson, his wife Carolyn Thompson, sister Modina Nowlin, son-in-law Elton Weems, step sister Beatrice Gibson and husband Jim, and stepmother Lola Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Maria (Pat) Aragon and her children Timothy and his wife Olivia Linton of Albuquerque, their children Joseph and Cedric, and grandson D'Angelo, daughter Candalyn Linton and her children Lorraine Linton, Miranda Baros and husband Javier and their children Xulema and Azariah. Tommy's daughter Glennys Elliott and husband Rusty, their children Brandon Weems and wife Tanya, Preston Weems and wife Missy, Chris Elliott and wife Kenza, Laura Landis and husband Parker, great grandchildren Keely, Claire, Julia, and Jade Weems, Lila and Elias Elliott, Samuel, Willow, Knox and Aster Landis, nephew Bill Nowlin, sister-in-law June Cotton, niece Julie McCormick, nephew Wayne Procter, Nancy Gibson Worlow, Denise Gibson Wadley, Jeannie Gibson Childers, Phyllis Gibson McGraw and nieces.

Services will be held at the Netherwood Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Rd, Albuquerque, NM. On Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10am. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10am.
