Wade Reinhart

Wade Reinhart, 85, beloved father and grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, May 19, 2022. He entered this world on December 5, 1936 in Centralia, KS, born to Wade and Floreen Reinhart, and grew up in Vermillion, Kansas. He is survived by his spouse, Lois Reinhart; daughter, Cheryl Riddle; son, Craig Reinhart; grandsons, Joseph Riddle, John Riddle, Brooks Reinhart and Logan Reinhart; granddaughter, Elizabeth Riddle; son-in-law, David Riddle; step-daughters, Julie Sonnenberg and Denise Quirarte; step-sons, Phil Straub and Chris Straub.

Wade served in the Air Force from 1955 - 1963 then attended Kansas State University. Wade then moved to Shawnee, Kansas to raise his family. Wade attended Rockhurst University and had a fulfilling career with the USDA. Wade always had a sense of adventure and loved to travel and explore, see new cities and learn new cultures. He traveled to all 50 states and many countries in his travels. Wade was an outdoorsman and loved sports, grilling, golf, bowling, fishing, time on the water, skiing, camping, hiking and more. Wade was a thinker. He loved to contemplate, challenge and always be learning. He was always willing to help, and had the ability to fix anything...most of the time, even if not always well. :) Wade loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and would ride roller coasters, drive go-karts, play games, ping pong, pool, puzzles and more as long as it meant time with family. Wade always challenged people to think for themselves, explore, never stop learning and to hold yourself and others to high standards. It's okay to make mistakes...learn from them to help you grow and make every day count.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 in Overland Park, KS.
