Virginia, age 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, second born of nine siblings in Aberdeen, South Dakota on April 16, 1946, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on October 10, 2022, after a long and hard-fought battle with vascular dementia. Ms. Wright was preceded in death by loving husband, Roy A. Wright, US Army. She is survived by daughter, Diana Dawes and husband, Rick; her son, David Wright and wife, Kathy; her five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her five brothers, and two sisters.
Being married to a career army man meant the family moved around often and she was always active in every community she was a part of which included Virginia and Germany on two occasions which she loved; always finding ways to volunteer with NCO wives' clubs. She was a dedicated homemaker and liked to crochet and play cards with family. Virginia loved her grandchildren and gave all her time, love, and affection to them. She was also an active and giving member of her church.
