Virginia Torres, age 81, beloved wife and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on August 6, 2018. She entered this world on May 7, 1937 in Taos, N.M. born to Clemente and Maria Martinez. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Ignacio Torres and her parents, Clemente and Maria. She is survived by her 6 children, Emily Torres, Loretta Martinez and husband, Dennis, Berlinda Trujillo and husband, Jake, Peggy Gutierrez and husband, Gabriel, Pamela Torres and husband, George, David Torres and wife, Kristina; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Mrs. Torres was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time at the senior center with friends and enjoyed antique/auction events. Mrs. Torres was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH-University. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 9502 4th St N.W.
