Virginia Florence (Tidholm) Ruhn

Virginia (Ginny) Ruhn of Placitas passed away on March 19th, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ruhn; and her son, Richard Ruhn. Both died suddenly in their 50s. Her only brother, Robert Tidholm, had also passed away.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Ruhn) Isaacson and husband Ross from Placitas. Granddaughter Sarah Marotta (Carmine) and great-grandson Noah from Edgewood. Granddaughter Katherine Ruhn from Albuquerque. Granddaughter Jana Chaney (Mickey) and greatgrandchildren Wyatt, Alannah, and Cash Chaney of Mt. Holly, NC. She has two special first cousins, Janet Howser of Seneca, SC, and Curt Tidholm of Navarre, FL.

Virginia was born in Valparaiso, IN, and at 12 years old moved to Aurora, IL, where she eventually met her husband Bill and raised her children. She lived a few years in Bremerton, WA, and then they followed their children to Colorado. She spent the last 21 years in NM; fourteen of those years were in a casita next to her daughter. She enjoyed traveling, card and dice games, dining out and spending time with friends and family. She loved children and little doggies so much too! She was so sweet and kind to everyone and she will be missed by all.

A visitation will take place from 9:30-11:00a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 1st, at FRENCH-Wyoming. A reception will follow the service. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
