Age 76, a longtime Albuquerque resident went to meet our Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She is survived by her son, Gary Payne of Albuquerque; her first cousin Daveral Walker of Woodward, Oklahoma, Daveral's children, Diane, Stanley and their spouses, children and grandchildren. Ginnie is also survived by nieces, Paula Womak and Cecilia Durkin, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews too numerous to name here. Ginnie was preceded in death by her husband Allan C. Payne; her son Randy E. Payne; parents Milton E. Bland, and Linnie Bland. Ginnie was a member of Heights Baptist Church for many years. She was a big lover of animals of all kinds, especially elephants, of which she had a collection of over 500 figurines that she had acquired from friends and her travels. She was also an avid reader of mysteries, and had a book collection of over 1000! Ginnie and her son Gary enjoyed taking in an afternoon matinee at the movies, and sharing a coke and a large popcorn. They also enjoyed movies at home and had a collection of them as well, that Ginnie loved. She and Gary traveled to various places and had recently been to Mt. Rushmore, as Ginnie enjoyed historical places. She was an avid shopper and excelled at it! Ginnie loved watching football and cheering on her "STEELERS" while waving her "yellow terrible towel"! Above all, she loved all holidays and birthdays, but Christmas was her favorite time.
