Virginia Lopez

Virginia Lopez passed away April 20, 2015 in Albuquerque NM. She was born in Raton, NM on August 14, 1951 to Doroteo and Simona Lopez. She lived most of her life in Raton and worked as a cosmetologist at Bonnie's Unisex Beauty Salon. In May of 1998, Virginia left Raton and moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her family. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a lifelong member. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Juan Lopez; sister, Estella Chavez; and half-brothers, Raymond, Clyde & Dort E. Lopez, along with several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her sisters, Isabel (Alex) Sisneros, Rosie (David) Lee, Erlinda (Ted) Ortiz, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Gene and Richard Lopez both of Santa Fe; and brother-in-law, Joseph Chavez of Rio Rancho; nieces and nephews, Antoinette Sisneros, David (Shannon) Lee Jr., David Lee II, Michael (Shannon) Lee, Frank, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Christina Ortiz. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, Bella Sisneros, DeShawn Lee, Imari, Cyan and Jedidiah Lee, Cameron, Gavin and Collette Lee. Viewing will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - University Funerals, with Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
