Virginia Mae Guth, age 95, a resident of La Vida Llena since 1992, passed away on January 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Hallet Guth. Virginia is survived by her son, John Guth of Albuquerque; a grandson, Jason Guth and companion Corina of Phoenix, granddaughter, Sarah Klenner and husband Jeff of Detroit, six great-grandchildren, and two great great-granddaughters. Virginia was born in East Fogelsville, PA to Alvin Smith and Sadie Herber. She spent her married life in Virginia, New York, Kansas, Maryland, Oklahoma, Florida, and California before retiring to New Mexico in 1984. Virginia was an accomplished musician, playing the accordion, piano and organ professionally in the 1930s. Her big loves in life were dancing and music. She was most noted for lighting up the room with her smile and just being very social to anyone she came in contact with. A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Carter Hall at the La Vida Llena Retirement Community, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE. Interment will be in Fogelsville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the La Vida Llena Full Life Foundation, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
