Virginia Lee Burrell was born on her family’s dairy farm in Paradise, Utah on July 25th, 1923. She will be laid to rest in Paradise on April 6th, 2018, with her sons Brett and Bill and her special niece Susie at her side. Virginia was a strong, resilient and independent woman with a deep love for her family and friends and a great devotion to her church. She will be greatly missed. Virginia had a lovely childhood on the farm with her sister and four brothers, who were her best friends. She loved animals, especially cats, and learned life skills that she would use for her entire life. After graduating from Utah State University with a degree in Home Economics; she meet the love of her life, LaVon Burrell. They were married in Paradise in 1948 and spent 60 loving years together. Throughout her life; Virginia spent time as a Junior High and Kindergarten teacher, a Relief Society President, a talented craftsperson and a Homemaker who beautifully decorated and made comfortable over 15 homes for her family. Virginia is survived by her two sons, Brett Burrell and his wife Nancy, Bill Burrell and his wife Debbie; her grandchildren, Colin and Brandi Burrell, Brandi’s husband Ken Merhege and great grandson, Jaxon Merhege. Rest In Peace Mom and give Dad a kiss for us. We love you. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
