Viola M. Ulibarri

Viola M. Ulibarri "DaMama", 78, a loving and dedicated mother, wife and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born on April 25, 1939 in Old Town and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She worked for US West where she retired. Viola and her husband traveled extensively throughout her life and her grandchildren were her life. Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Stella Sanchez; sister, "Baby" Stella Zamora; and brother, Raymond Sanchez.
She is survived by her husband, Francisco Eloy Ulibarri; her children, Steven Ulibarri and wife, Misti, Kathy Uibarri, and Angela Chavez and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Lorenzo and Tiffany Chavez, Jessika, Mia, Asher and Evangeline Ulibarri; sister, Marcella and husband, Ernest Hoehne; sister-in-law, Dee Sanchez; and brother-in-law, Mel Zamora. She also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University. A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
