Vincent Mark D'Angelo, 67, went home to our Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the comfort of his home after bravely battling ALS for the past five years. Mark was born Sunday, October 10, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM to Vincent D'Angelo and Anne (Candelaria) Smail.
Mark attended Rio Grande High School (class of 1972) where he played clarinet and was Drum Major. While in high school, he met the love of his life, Patricia Gallegos. They married on Saturday, May 17, 1975 at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mark worked as an air traffic controller, prison guard, and then retired from the post office after 31 years due to his ALS diagnosis in 2017.
Mark loved reading, debating with his brothers and kids, telling jokes, and traveling. He was a devout Catholic and had a special interest in angels. He served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years, and enjoyed taking Communion to the sick in their homes. His life's pride was his family.
