Vilia Chadwell

Vilia Chadwell, age 91, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, February 20, 2021.

Vilia was known as a Godly woman who loved her family and enjoyed sharing her love for Christ with others. She impacted everyone that she came into contact with. Her faith in God and her generosity and love for people was contagious and influenced many.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Chadwell and his wife Gerri and Ray Chadwell and his wife Bobye; her grandchildren, Gerlyn and Berrett Chadwell and his wife Jessica; her great-granddaughters, Jaelyn and Rochelle Smith; and her brother, Florentino Sedillo.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and family members that loved her greatly.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Cornealius Chadwell; her parents, Anastacio and Genevive Sedillo; her four brothers, Eloy, Nano, Leddy and Henry Sedillo; and her sister, Prescilla Sedillo.

A private burial for Vilia will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Friday, March 5, 2021 where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband.

Details for her celebration of life will be announced at a later date in the spring.
