Victoria Martens was born on August 23, 2006 to Michelle Martens at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. She entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 24, 2016.
She is preceded in death by great-grandparents Irma (Giovannini) Cucinella, (Frank) Cucinella of New York. She leaves to mourn, her mother, Michelle; her brother, Mathew Oetting and grandparents John and Pat Martens - all of Albuquerque, NM, as well as great-grandparents, Ann (Runguldier) Henry Martens and Michael (Susan) Martens of New York; her uncle, Marty Martens of St. Louis; her aunt, Patricia Meyer of New Jersey; godmothers, Laura Bobbs and Tina Cirillo - both of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts and other extended family.
Victoria attended Petroglyph Elementary School, where she met and had numerous friends. That was who she was - a friend maker. She could light up a room with all her glowing laughter and the cute smirk she would give you. When she was in tune with nature at the "Park Above," she was at peace with her grandfather John. She loved to ride her bike, or go roller blading, and, on occasion, she went 4-wheeling with Nana and grandpa. She loved to swim and gymnastics was her passion. "Queen" Victoria, as she was called, loved life and people. Their color or background made no difference - she just liked to make friends. She leaves behind many to mourn her untimely loss. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Copper Pointe Church, 10500 Copper Ave, Albuquerque, NM 87123.
