Victor Fresquez

d. September 14, 2018

On Friday, September 14, 2018, Victor passed peacefully with his daughter and son by his side.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Ripley; and parents, Victor and Esther. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gina and David Ripley; son and daughter-in-law, Armando Fresquez and Teresa Kizziah; granddaughter, Danielle Ripley; his sister; two brothers; and numerous other family and friends.

Victor joined the United States Army at the age of 18 and eventually became a paratrooper in the 101st Screaming Eagles Airborne Division. In civilian life, he worked as a general contractor for decades and built many custom homes in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. Later in life, he was employed by ARCA as a general maintenance person to care for their numerous homes throughout the city. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and a proud NRA member who enjoyed collecting guns and going shooting often. He also loved his Ford vehicles including his 1966 Mustang GT Fastback and his 1969 Bronco. Victor truly loved and lived his life to the fullest, but his biggest love was that of his children and grandchildren. After losing his grandson, Brandon, he would often say how much he wanted to see him again. Now that they have been reunited, we can imagine him saying to everyone in heaven, “I lived my life the way I wanted to and I exited this life the way I wanted to!” Rest well dad, we love you and will miss you, always.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Hispanic Cultural Center, 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
