On May 17, 2024, Victor DeAnda accepted the outstretched hand of God and crossed over to his next beautiful adventure. Joyously awaiting his arrival on the other side was his beloved son Kevin, and his sister Helen.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Lori, daughters Lynelle Garcia (Rick), Jeanette DeAnda (Cole Raison), and Debbie Thompson (Todd), sons Victor DeAnda, and Paul DeAnda (Kelly), brothers Al DeAnda (Barbara), and Lalo DeAnda (Raquel-deceased), and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. His greatest legacy rests with his five grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Landon Sturgeon, his precious "Blondie" and "Big Guy" who never let him forget how much he was loved, Kristina and Jessica DeAnda, and Zachary Thompson. Lastly, he leaves behind his constant companion of the last three years, Griswald, a crippled mutt that stole his heart.
Vic was born in El Paso, TX on June 18, 1935, and served honorably in both the United States Navy and the United States Army. He had a successful corporate sales career in the garment industry for fashion greats such as Farrah Manufacturing, Helen of Troy and Herman Marcus. He then worked as a marketing manager for the electronics manufacturing firm, Jetco, Inc., where he met his wife, Lori. In the mid 1970's, he transitioned to retail sales, spending the last 30 years of his career in the automobile industry where he won multiple awards in both sales and management, working for major dealerships in both El Paso, TX and Albuquerque, NM.
