Vicky Madrid

Vicky Madrid, 71, of Albuquerque NM, passed away on Sunday Feb 13, 2022. after a battle with cancer. Vicky was born February 1951 to Jose and Mary Pino in Albuquerque NM. After graduating from Albuquerque high school in 1969, she went on to study Core Courses at the University of New Mexico. And soon after she landed her first job as a seamstress for Pioneer Wear staying for 10 years. She then perused a career at the city of Albuquerque with zoning enforcement and stayed for 7 years, Vicky's battle with serious medical issues over the years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Vicky came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Vicky lived a fulfilling life as a loving mother to four God loving children, Ray Contreras of Los Lunas, NM, Bruno Contreras of Albuquerque, NM, Angela Montoya of Los Lunas, NM and Frances Chavez of Albuquerque, NM. Early on Vicky dedicate her life to God and was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. All thru her life, she often repeated the quote:  "God go with you and keep you safe." Vicky loved to read her bible, praying for and with others. Spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving caring person, devoted mother and friend, always thinking of others first. "We will miss her greatly". Vicky was predeceased by her Father Jose Pino, and Mother Mary Pino, of Albuquerque NM, brother Joe Pino of Tucumcari, NM and sister Sophie Martinez of Albuquerque NM. Vicky is survived by her brother Pat Pino of Albuquerque NM and sister Mary Rivera of Carlsbad NM, her four children, and seventeen wonderful grandchildren and fifteen beautiful great-grandchildren. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to FRENCH-Wyoming 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. There will be a visitation at 11am prior to the funeral service March 3, 2022, at 12 Noon. It will be held at Esperanza Viva Iglesia de Dios, 1409 Vito Romero Rd SW Albuquerque, NM. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd, SE Albuquerque, NM 87106. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vicky’s life.
