Vicky Bolton, 62, passed away peacefully on February, 4, 2018, after a valiant 15 year fight with cancer. Vicky was known for her love of God, fierce love of family, her generous heart and enduring strength.
She is survived by her mother, Lura Rotruck; brother, Michael Rotruck(Sandy Ann); two sisters, Sandy Eileen Rotruck(Gary), and Janice Johnson(Randy); her three children, Josie Hanes(Daryl), Jennifer Zapien(Jose), and Jonathan Bolton(Crystal), nine grandchildren, Santiago, Lilly, Kaleb, Emily, Hanah, Jose, Rosa, Victoria and Pablo; five nephews, Sam, Ben, Conrad, Jacob, and Jeremy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bolton and her father, Allen Rotruck.
We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Richard Giudice and NMCC’s supportive and caring staff. We would also like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Hospice for their wonderful care and support. Vicky was dedicated to her work at The New Mexico Medical Society for over 20 years.
As a hot air balloon enthusiast she enjoyed the International Balloon Fiesta every year. Being so crafty she enjoyed beading, crocheting, painting, scrapbooking, cake decorating, photography, and jewelry making. She always shared her crafts for others to enjoy. She was also an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling with her family.
A Memorial will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial. Memorial donations in honor of Vicky may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
