Vicki Bachechi

Vicki Bachechi peacefully departed on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the age of 82. Born in Denver, Colorado, to Elva and Dean Lugenbeel, she was the younger sister of Lorna.

Vicki earned her bachelor's degree at the University of New Mexico and dedicated her teaching career to Albuquerque Public Schools. After a fulfilling professional journey, she embraced retirement alongside her husband, Tony.

Simple pleasures brought immense joy to Vicki. A devoted reader, she relished quiet evenings with a good book and a glass of wine. Additionally, she generously volunteered at the Rio Rancho Public Library. Vicki cherished lifelong friendships, monthly book club gatherings, opera nights in Santa Fe, and movie outings with friends. Vicki's ability to derive happiness from everyday activities was truly remarkable, and her pleasant personality left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Vicki is survived by her three nieces, Tamara, Kelly, and Debby; as well as great-nephews, Eric and Nick; and two great-great-nephews, Easton and Knox.
