Venus Salazar

Venus Salazar, our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was 19. Venus was born on July 30, 2003, in Albuquerque, NM. She loved to skate, listen to awesome music, was incredibly talented with hair and makeup and loved to express herself with tattoos and piercings. Venus' beautiful smile could light up any room, and her huge and loving heart helped so many to see their beauty and worth. She is survived by her parents, Monica Cordova (stepfather Miguel); and Angelo Salazar; big brother, Joshua; little sister, Mia; and stepbrothers, Angelo, Andres, and Miguel. She also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Venus was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Armijo, and grandmother, Joy Salazar.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Venus' memory to Breaking the Silence NM. (www.breakingthesilencenm.org)
