Varie A. (Kirkpatrick) Lowther

Varie A. Lowther, resident of Albuquerque beloved wife and mother, passed away on May 9, 2018, just shy of her 99th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lt. Col Dale R. Lowther. She is survived by her children; Roger and wife Janet, Jack and wife Cindy, and Robert; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Rosalie Giauque and extended family members. Varie spent many years volunteering in the military hospitals during her husband’s career with the Air Force. For the past 15 years she enjoyed bringing people together for meals and social gatherings at the Montebello. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m.at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
