Valerie Adle

Valerie Adle, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She entered this world on February 11, 1936 in Roseburg, OR, born to Emma and Harold Poole. Nebraska is where Valerie would be raised and where she met and married her husband, Elvin. Elvin and Valerie were married in Lexington, NE on June 19, 1955. When Caterpillar offered Elvin a transfer in the early 1960's to the warm southwest, it wasn't without hesitation they accepted. Valerie would bring to Albuquerque her strong mid-western values, beliefs and work ethic. Elvin and Valerie were married for over 38 years before Elvin passed away in 1993. Valerie was an amazing care giver to her husband during his illness and held true to her vows in sickness and in health 'til death do us part. In 2001, Valerie would be blessed with a grandson, Ben. Ben was her pride and joy and she would never miss an opportunity to spend time with him. Valerie's last three years have been spent in the loving care of her family and the nurses and caregivers at The Cottages. The family would like to thank all of the angels who cared for Valerie with such care, comfort and respect. The family would also like to thank Ambercare Hospice for giving Valerie such grace, dignity and peace in her final journey. Valerie is survived by her brother Ron and wife Edwina and several nieces and nephews; a son Keith; a daughter Teresa West and husband Willie and grandson Ben. Friends may visit Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A private service will be held at Valerie's request.
