Vada Radcliff, age 95, a resident of Albuquerque for 41 years, died Sunday, March 23, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dick Radcliff; three children, Cathy Parker and husband, Omer of Canyon, TX, Charley Radcliff of Burlington, WA and Shawn Radcliff and wife, Aliina of Aztec, NM; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Vada was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Florence Leird. She was born in 1918 in Bellview, NM and after graduation from high school attended Highlands University. She married Joe Glennon and they ran a general merchandise store in Cuba, NM. She later owned and operated Vada Glennon Trading Post in Gallup, NM. Vada married Dick Radcliff in 1968 and they owned and operated Vada's Trading Post and Gallup Sheet Metal Works. They moved to Albuquerque in 1973. Vada was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Because Vada was a breast cancer survivor in 1991, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure, 5005 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
