ULRIC BOUQUET PATRICKAge 91, a resident of Albuquerque, N.M., went to be with the Lord his Savior on October 6, 2012 after a lengthy illness, and was surrounded by family and friends who loved him. He was born to Ulric and Nellie Mae Bouquet on July 24, 1921 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father, an Army Air Corp officer, was killed in a plane crash and his mother re-married Major General Edwin D. Patrick, who adopted Ulric and became the only father he ever knew. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ann Patrick; daughters, Halley Anderson (Mark) of Albuquerque, and Ann Compton (Rodney) of Craig, CO; son, Ricky Patrick of Albuquerque; step-son, Lorance Clow of ID; brother, Tom Patrick of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Daniel and Kristin Anderson of Cedar Crest, Chris (Adri) Compton of Ft. Collins, CO, and Catherine Compton of Craig, CO; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Walters of Englewood, CO and Mryna Patrick of Lafayette, LA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Ed Patrick.Ulric joined the Army at the age of 20 in 1942, serving in both WWII and Korea, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He graduated in 1948 from UNM with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He worked for UNM as an internal auditor until he retired in 1987. His love of geology and the mining industries of New Mexico and Colorado was his greatest hobby. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at French-University Chapel on Thursday, October 11, 2012 with Pastor Rod Compton officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
