Twyla “Shirley” Davis, 83, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2018, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on December 30, 1934 in Spelter, WV. She is survived by her daughter Kelly Virostko and her husband Edward; granddaughters Brittany and Madison Virostko; son Kevin Davis and his wife Susan; grandsons Charles “Chad” Davis and Dylan Davis and his wife Catherine. She is also survived by her siblings, Marcilee Maxwell, Dixie Davis, Beverly Wise, Nina Newman, Darla Fazzini, Tim Sinnett and his wife Charlene, and John Sinnett, as well as many nieces and nephews. Twyla was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles “Chuck” Davis as well as her mother, Willa Mae Dodd. She was previously a resident of Columbus, Ohio, where she worked for North American Aviation for 7 years. She then began to work at home as a transcriptionist for court reporters. She continued that work until the age of 80, when she finally retired. She was an avid supporter of West Virginia Mountaineer football and basketball and also of New Mexico Lobo football and basketball. She and her husband were season ticket holders for Lobo basketball for 25 years. She enjoyed reading books, including her Bible, playing cards, and working crossword puzzles. In Twyla’s memory, contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
