March 18, 1925 - December 3, 2015
Born Gertrude Mary Ann Dillon in Denver, Colorado, Trudy graduated from Albuquerque High School and enjoyed many years in Albuquerque. Trudy's family and her faith were central to her life. A master homemaker, she had five children of her own and embraced several others as family members.
Trudy was known for cooking nutritious meals and inviting anyone near her table to share them. She made mountains of clothing, sewing everything from wedding gowns to men's jackets. She maintained a colorful backyard garden, filled with climbing roses and year-round flowers.
A gifted artist, Trudy enjoyed painting, drawing, and teaching. She was well known for her beautiful penmanship. Later in life she wrote poetry and stories, and even completed a children's book.
Trudy was preceded in death by her eldest son, Lanny; husband of 57 years, Dale; brother, Jimmy Dillon; and parents, Emma and Nathan Dillon. She is lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren: James Fastle (wife, Yolanda; children, Jordan, Miranda and husband, Steve, Ashley, and Sam); Donna Weeks (husband, John; children, Lauren and husband, John, Jojo, and Chris); Karen Lillard (husband, Steve; children Jesse and Stefanee); and Tim Fastle (wife, Rebecca, children Dale Lynn, Alex, and Nicole); and Lanny's son, Alan Fastle (wife, Anne). She will be missed by her siblings, Leona Marlar and Paul Dillon. Numerous nieces, nephews, and honorary family members deeply feel her loss, including Ron O'Neill; Donna Mae Fastle; and her special young friend, David Sanchez.
