Tony V. Sandoval passed away in his home on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the age of 92. Tony was a native of Flagstaff, Arizona but had been living in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the past five years. Tony was born on September 17, 1920 to Amelia Sandoval and Feliz Sandoval. He was married to Mary Lomeli in Flagstaff. Tony served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. Tony retired from Southwest Lumber Mill where he worked as an electrician. In retirement Tony volunteered countless hours to his church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, as well as St. Vincent De Paul. Tony is survived by his wife, Mary Sandoval; and daughter, Viola Vasquez, who both reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico; son, John Sandoval of Phoenix, Arizona; as well as four grandchildren, Jake Sandoval, Josh Sandoval, Jason Vasquez, and Amber Vasquez Thomas and her husband, Ben Thomas. Tony was preceded in death by his eldest son, Antonio R. Sandoval Jr. Services will be held in Flagstaff, AZ at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 224 S. Kendrick on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Flagstaff.
