Tonie Garcia

Tonie Garcia, age 102, of Albuq, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and and great-great grandmother left this world to be with our heavenly father on Aug 31, 2017. She was so loved by her family, relatives and friends and will be surely missed. Her husband, Fidel Sr; son, Abie; and grandson, Christopher, preceded her in death.
Tonie is survived by her sons, Fidel Jr, Eloy, Alberto, and Milton Garcia; daughters, Nancy Lujan, Carmela Anaya, and Catherine Barela; six in-laws; and eighty eight (88) grandchildren. She previously lived in Torreon, NM where she raised her eight children.
Her faith in God, family and friends were the most important things to her.
A Rosary/Mass will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee. Burial services will follow immediately at the Torreon, NM cemetery, with a reception at the Torreon Community Center. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital for Cancer, Stjude.org.
