Tomasita Jiron

Jiron - Tomasita (Tommie) Jiron, 81, a resident of Belen, NM died Monday, June 11, 2012. She is survived by her brothers, Art Jiron and wife, Ruth of Las Cruces, NM, Sam Jiron of Lake Elsinore, CA; sister, Isabel Romero of Las Cruces, NM; sister-in-law, Annie Jiron of Belen, NM; sister-in-law, Shela Jiron of Belen, NM; and numerous other relatives and friends. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and Tomasita Aragon Jiron; sisters, Telesfora Martinez, Ferminita Sanchez; brothers, David Jiron, Ernest Jiron, and Florentino Jiron. She was born in 1930 in Aragon, NM and graduated from Loretto Academy El Paso High School before attending college in Milwaukee, WI. She was a member of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother for ten years and was also a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Tommie was a loving sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, June 14, 2012, 7:00 p.m., at French ~ University Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 15, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, 101-A North 10th Street, Belen. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be Ron Jiron, Frank Sanchez, Tino Jiron, Charles Jiron, Lawrence Jiron, and Tony Sanchez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Loretto Academy, 1300 Hardaway, El Paso, TX 79903.
