Thomas Joseph Rogers, age 65, beloved father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Sunday, March 10, 2019. He entered this world on Sunday, May 24, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, born to William Rogers and Janet Potter. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1980 as a petty officer first class (FTM1, fire control technician). He served aboard the USS Towers (DDG-9) and the USS Henry B Wilson (DDG-7) as well as at White Sands Missile Range.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Potter; siblings, Barbara Casamento and Dennis (and Sandy) Potter; daughter, Jeannette (and Jeffrey) Park and their children, Troy (and Erin), Jennifer (31), Jackie (and Jeremy), Lena (26) and their 6 grandchildren, (ages 1-10); daughter, Connie (and Brian) Peterson and their children, Aiden (14), Declan (12), and Emiya (6); daughter, Kate (and John) Tomasik and their children, Piper (9) and Ethan (6); daughter Laura (and Sergio) Schwartz and their children, Noah (9), Rowen (6), Acer (4), and Elio (2) and son, Sean (and Brenda) Rogers and their children, Violet (3) and Theodore (1). He is preceded in death by his step-father, John Potter and his brother Patrick Potter.
Thomas was a hardworking, loyal and generous man, who loved his family. He loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, and biking. He loved nothing more than to be with his family outside, enjoying a cold drink and swapping stories.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019, 8:15 a.m. followed by Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church at 5901 St Joseph’s Dr NW.
Thomas will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe. You are welcome to join the procession to Santa Fe starting at 9:30 a.m. from FRENCH – Westside.
