Thomas Roback

Thomas Roback, 84, of Albuquerque passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. He was surrounded bedside by his loving family. Tom was born on December 16, 1938 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of the late Robert and Delia Roback. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Donald Roback.

Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Afterwards, he started his career as an ironworker in Chicago Local #63 on projects that included the Sears Tower and John Hancock buildings. Tom then moved his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977 to start his contracting company, "New Beginnings Inc.," building many projects until his retirement. His many hobbies included hunting, competitive long-rifle target shooting, custom car building and racing, gardening, and despite his ardent denials, Tom enjoyed his daily backyard naps. He was and always will be an avid Chicago Bears Fan.

In addition to his loving wife, Sandra of 56 years; Tom is survived by his children, Eileen, Joseph, Thomas, Jason, and Koren;13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
