Thomas E. Meyer

September 3, 1946 — October 19, 2021

Thomas (Tom) Meyer, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, was called to his eternal resting place on October 19, 2021, after years of battling from COPD. He was born on September 3, 1946, in Southampton, NY, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Virginia Meyer; his brother, Ernest Meyer, Jr.; and sister, Janet Telford. He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Debbie) Meyer; daughter, Dawn Meyer; daughter, Tamara Groves; granddaughter, Hayley Rose Ortiz; grandson, Jacob Groves; grandson, Tanner Groves; and his sister, Carol Wageley (Steve); and brother, Robert Meyer (Vicki); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tom Honorably served in the US Army from 1965-1968. He was a Vietnam veteran and also served in the Army reserves for an additional six years. He was in the Office Products industry for over 26 years and co-owned National Office Supply with his father-in-law, Joe Jowers. He retired with CNM in law enforcement as a Lieutenant.

Tom had a charismatic and magnetic personality, he was funny, witty, and loved by young and old.

He was so loved by his family. I love you Tom. We Love you Daddy and Papa Tom!

The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 9:45 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with a reception immediately following at Tamara's home. We will provide the address privately.
