KAMPLAIN, THOMAS EDGARTom is survived by his wife of 40 years Jeri Kamplain, his mom Lila Kamplain; two brothers and their wives, Gary and Carol Kamplain, Rod and Pam Kamplain; his two sons and their wives Rainier and Betty Kamplain, Joshua and Yolanda Kamplain, and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Max Kamplain. Tom was born in Artesia NM. He resided in Loco Hills, Albuquerque, Los Lunas, Ardmore, OK, and lived in the east mountain area near Albuquerque, NM. Tom graduated from Los Lunas high school, and attended Western New Mexico University. Shortly thereafter he joined the USAF. While serving 4 years he was stationed in Alconbury, England and Minot, ND where he made lifelong friendships. He is also a member of the 10th SPA Air Force Squadron. Tom successfully managed tire stores throughout Ardmore, OK. and Albuquerque NM. He was always determined and driven to be retired young. He set the goal and this became a reality. Tom was a self-motivated individual who would not let anything stop him from achieving his goals. He achieved his lifelong dream of retiring and having his own home based business at the age of 52. Tom's other passion was traveling. He loved visiting family and friends as well as historical locations. His favorite spot was under his "thinking tree"� in his own back yard, where he spent time working and drinking coffee.He is also known for his sense of humor, wit, and elaborate war stories. He was a loving husband, father, and Jeda/Commander (grandfather) who made a lasting impression on his family. He will truly be missed and remembered always. Tom had a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and stayed true to his Free will Baptist beliefs. Tom was inspired by Henry David Thoreau, Edgar Allen Poe, Elvis, the Beatles, and Rolling Stones. He often quoted and firmly believed that "I do what I want, when I want".
