Tom was a resident of Albuquerque from 1952 to 2008, when he moved to Oconomowoc, WI after his wife's death to be close to his daughter Barbara. Tom passed away on January 16, 2013. He was born, raised and schooled in Charleston, SC. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Chudik and husband Barth Chudik; son Thomas B. Christiansen III and wife Mary Ochadlik; three grandchildren, Barth Thomas and his wife, Janet and their daughter, Julia, Jenny Carter and her husband, Randy, and their son, Max, Thomas B. Christiansen IV and his wife, Melissa; and three step-grandchildren, Roxanne Ochadlik, Regina Ochadlik and Sonja Ochadlik. Tom attended The Citadel of Charleston, SC. Upon graduating he started his Army career as a Second Lt. serving 22 years and retiring as a Full Colonel in 1973. During his Army career he served at many different bases in the United States and Germany. He also did tours in Korea and Vietnam. Tom was awarded many medals during his service, for which all of his family was very proud of him. After retirement from the Army he joined the NM State Defense Force and retired from there as a Major General. He also managed and owned trucking companies. Tom's hobbies were model trains and he was an avid bow and gun hunter. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at French - Wyoming. Military burial will take place on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
