Theresa J. Hernandez

On Sunday, April 28, 2019, Theresa J. Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, NM, with her family and was called to heaven to be with Jesus and His angels. She retired from Presbyterian Hospital and loved to make people laugh, enjoyed dancing, and spending time with her family. Theresa constantly nourished people with love, faith, and music. She was oldest of nine siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo and Bernadette Ortiz. She is survived by her husband, Reyes Hernandez; children, Ted J. Barela (his son, Jacob and wife, Katy, their children Emmanuel and Anthony Barela), Jeanettavictoria Ortiz (her daughter, Nicole and Jesus Villareal, their children, Camilla and Luciana Villareal and her son, Adam Arellano and wife, Alice, their children Ava and soon-to-be born Ashton), Sandra Barela (and her daughter, Janell Rae Barela, grand-daughter, Alexsis Selenarae Barela and grand-son, Seth Ray Barela), and Linda Flores and husband, Robert (and their children, Richard Archuleta and Robert M. Flores). A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019. 9:00 a.m. with a Rosary to follow at 10:00 a.m. a Mass will follow at 10:45 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
