Theresa Jane Eberhardy, 83, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and many other titles too many, was called to her eternal resting place on November 23, 2016. She entered this world on September 12, 1933 on a farm in Pierce County, WI, born to Louie and Esther Kainz.
After graduation, Jane moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she met Vernon Eberhardy. The two moved their family to New Mexico in the early 70's. They had been married for 46 years when Vernon passed away unexpectedly.
The two were members of Holy Ghost Parish in Albuquerque. After moving to Rio Rancho, the two joined St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Jane was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, The American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society as well as a lifelong reader and traveler.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents and parents-in-law; seven siblings and siblings-in-law. She is survived by her children, Joette Haase (Jerry) of Tacoma, WA, Dana Gonzales (Armando "Nick") of Dixon, NM, Christy Kieser (Wade "Earl") of Kissimmee, FL, Scott Eberhardy of Espanola, NM and Terry Bird (Mike) of Springfield, Oregon. She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Galloway, Carol Charnock (Marty), Robert Kainz (Doris), Adele Kainz, Judy Kainz, Carol Trimberger, Roger Eberhardy and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, godchildren and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Rio Rancho. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE in Rio Rancho, NM.
