Theodore Paul Krein, age 90, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. Theodore passed peacefully surrounded by family. Theodore was born to Christ J. Krein and Christina Kramer Krein in American Falls, ID on December 26, 1925.
Theodore served in the 306th Infantry, 77th Division and was wounded on Okinawa May 27, 1945. After his service to his country, he attended the University of Idaho where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. On August 21, 1950, Theodore married the love of his life, Ramona Ream. Soon after, the couple moved to Albuquerque where they raised their three children and spent the rest of their lives. Melvin Scott was born to Ted and Ramona on April 28, 1954; Robert Bradley was born March 20, 1956; and Jeriann was born on February 8, 1958. Theodore had a successful career of 37 years at Sandia National Laboratories as a mechanical engineer. Theodore was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors more than any other place.
Theodore was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona; his father, Christ J. Krein; and mother, Christina; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Theodore is survived by his sons, Melvin Krein and wife, Loretta and Robert Krein and wife, Debra; daughter, Jeriann Ordonez and husband, DuWayne; grandchildren, Michele Romero, Jason Krein and wife, Jeannine, Sharon Fawver and husband, Maxx, Michael Ordonez and wife, Tracy, Heather Ordonez, Kelly Krein, Krista Krein and James Krein; great-grandchildren, Hunter Fawver, Jordan Krein, and Jonah Krein. He is also survived by sisters, Ruth Stevens of Spokane, WA and Lucille Balis and husband, Marvin of Chubbuck, ID.
At Theodore's request, there will be no services. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
