Thede Landon White

Thede Landon White (T.L.) , age 89, a longtime Albuquerque businessman and devoted husband and father, passed away January 12, 2018.  T.L. was retired for the last several years but was known as a businessman and founder/owner of AWSI, a construction company in Albuquerque.  T.L. was born in Panhandle, Texas, and graduated from Trinidad High School in Trinidad, Colorado. He was discharged from the Army as a Captain. Both before and after his service, he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, but eventually began a career in the construction industry. For five years,he worked for a local bank before going back to the construction business. T.L. built several hundred houses in Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico while employing hundreds of people.

He is survived by Margie, his wife of 65 years; two sons, Gary, wife Abbie, and Terry, wife Sheila; five grandsons and three great-grandchildren, Nathan, wife Haley, and their daughter, Naomi, Todd, Dustin, wife Rebecca, and their son Holden, Chad, wife Kristine, and their son, Atticus, and Troy, wife Mariah. T.L. was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Emma A. White; sister, Emma Jane Davignon and brother, Tom J. White.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. N.E. where T.L. and Margie have been members for 49 years. Memorial contributions can be made to the building fund at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave N.E.
